The nominations and elections committee is pleased to kick-off the election process for the Kinsale Glen Homeowner’s Association board in advance of our September, 2017 Annual Membership Meeting.
All members in good standing of the association are eligible to run for the board. There are two vacancies for full three-year terms.
If you are interested in serving on the board, our deadline to be included on the ballot is Friday, July 28, 2017. Ballots will be ready to be mailed to association members by August 8, 2017 (30 days before the election), and can be returned signed in the mail, but votes can be cast in-person or modified if mailed in advance at the annual membership meeting. There will be more details on the printed ballots.
Please indicate your interest by emailing the committee at KG_Nominations@verizon.net, or mailing the committee chair, Steven Haber, at 37 Kenmare Way. Please include a brief statement of your experience and what you hope to bring to the board and the association. These statements will accompany the ballots later this year, and each candidate will have an opportunity to address the membership prior to our election at the annual membership meeting (subject to time limits).
Suggested topics to cover in your statement: 1) Relevant Experience (can be on any kind of board, not just an HOA) or relevant business experience; 2) Your specific skill sets (budgeting/finance, legal experience, architecture, team building, social events, etc.); and 3) List the top priorities that would concern you as a board member. You're not limited to these topics, these are just a general guideline.
