Sully Station II Committee & Volunteer Opportunities

Sully Station II Community Association's Board of Trustees has appointed committees to assist them in providing governance for the community. Committees are an effective way to ensure homeowner participation in the decision-making process. Below is a brief summary of each committee. The Board of Trustees and the Sully Estates ARC members are elected. Members of the Elections Committee and the Architectural Review Board are appointed by the Board. All other committees welcome new members at any time. Please take a moment to read over the summaries. We hope you find an interest to serve on one or more committees. Please fill out the form and return it to the community center. The contributions you make to your community will be valuable and rewarding. All meetings are held at the Community Center at 5501 Sully Park Drive and are open to all membership.

Summer of 2010 - Final Wrap Up!

After a few days of rest (or “transition” to other sports!) we want to thank all of the special SS2 families for a wonderful season or great swimming, great fun, and great friendships! Each year it is so much fun to see the kids grow in lots of different ways and enjoy what we hope is a summer activity that they will long remember. To top it off with another Division Championship made it even more special!

Scott, Eric, Lori and I would like to thank you for our gifts, very generous and very much appreciated!

If you have not picked up your trophies or pictures, they are available during the day at the Community Center office. Please pick them up as quickly as possible. If your swimmer broke a team record, those awards are being completed next week and we will distribute as soon as we have them. If you have not picked up your t-shirts, we will have another pick-up in late August for you to pick those up.

As we put the 2010 season to bed, please remember to schedule your vacations in August in 2011 so we can have every swimmer available. Remember, one makes a difference! We will send out preliminary schedules in February for your planning. We’re likely to be moved up a division or two for 2011, so we need all of our swimmers each week!

Congratulations to our All-Star swimmers who swam yesterday in the NVSL All-Star Meet:
Taylor Smith – placed 18th in 8&U Free
Delaney Kennedy was an Alternate in 8&U Free
Lily Harkes– placed 13th in 9-10 Free
Lauren Peters– placed 16th in 9-10 Free
Georgia Stamper – placed 18th in 9-10 Breast
Harmon Saint Germain – placed 13th in 9-10 Breast and broke his own record
Ben Wu – placed 14th in 13-14 Free
Kenzie Elliott was an Alternate in 13-14 Free
Carli Molano – placed 5th in 15-18 IM and 2nd in Free
Tara Banks – placed 15th in Free
Erin Schulte – placed 12th in Free

Please keep your kids swimming this winter, it really helps their strokes (even if for one hour each week!)

Thanks again for being part of the Sully 2 Swim Team, your swimmers and you made this a great season! We look forward to 2011.

We had 100% of our swimmers improve their times over the course of the season, eight team records broken, and most importantly, smiles all around. Another year of great memories, thanks for being a part of it.

NVSL DIVISION 7 CHAMPIONS!

Have a great “off-season!”
