Welcome to Poipu Sands!
Po’ipu Sands is one of five condominium properties in the Po’ipu Kai Resort. The Resort is located near the east end of the Po’ipu area on the south shore of Kauai. In addition to the condominium properties, the Resort also includes private homes. Resort amenities include a swimming pool and thermal soaking pool, as well as a tennis complex that includes six hard-surface courts, two soft-surface courts, and a tennis pro shop. The Resort also has a restaurant and is less than one-to-two miles from the Po’ipu Bay and Kiahuna Golf Courses, a large variety of restaurants (Roy’s, Keoki’s, Joe’s on the Green, Casablanca, Po’ipu Bay Grill, Plantation, and several others), and the Po’ipu Shopping Center. The town of Koloa, with its grocery stores and other support businesses, is three miles north of the Resort.

Po’ipu Sands consists of six buildings situated on 7.2 acres of lush tropical landscaping. The property is located directly west of the Hyatt Regency Kauai with which it shares Shipwreck’s Beach on Keoneloa Bay. There are meandering paths throughout the property leading to the beach and ocean. Ocean vistas are available within and outside units in buildings one (farthest from the ocean) and five (closest to the ocean); these same vistas are available from the lanais of units in other Po’ipu Sands buildings. Photographs of the property, buildings, and amenities are provided in the Photo Gallery (see hotlink to the left).

Po’ipu Sands was developed to provide all of the amenities that its tenants needed to enjoy an active and unique daily life on Kauai. The largest south-shore condominium swimming pool—and the only south-shore swimming pool that is heated—is located at Po’ipu Sands. It is the only condominium property in the Po’ipu Kai Resort that has its own tennis court. Two barbecue centers are provided: one behind the swimming pool and one along the property line opposite building four.

How It All Works

From Association Government

Board Member Responsibilities

The Board is ultimately responsible for the oversight of the community association ("the buck stops with the Board"). Although the Board may retain and delegate some of its duties to volunteers, contractors and professionals, the Board is still ultimately responsible for the duties it may have assigned to others.
