Dear La Rocca Homeowner:
We are pleased to annouce that, weather permitting, the streets within La Rocca are scheduled to be slurry sealed on Monday, June 4th and Tuesday, June 5th. The work is scheduled to begin at 6:00 a.m. each day meaning that vehicles must be moved off of the scheduled slurry street the night before work is scheduled to begin.
We will be applying two coats of seal on the streets and will need to shut down 1/2 of the complex, in both directions, on one day and the other half, in both directions, on the second day. There will be no vehicular traffic in either direction for the street when it is shut down. To maintain consistency and not have discoloration of the inside lane vs. the outside lane, the street will be done width-wide, two coats in the same day. If possible, we recommend that you be off of the property the day that your side of the community is scheduled to be sealed, as the streets that are sealed each day will not reopen until 7:00 a.m. the following morning.
Please review the street closure schedule (attached) to determine what day your side of the community is scheduled to be sealed. Please do not park on the street at all during this process as even the open streets will be restricted to one-lane, two way traffic. Please make arrangements to move your vehicle prior to the work being started as once the work starts you will not be able to drive on the street. Any long term parked vehicles will need to be removed from the property on the slurry seal days or they will be towed. Please also be sure that you do not drive or walk in the barricaded areas.
Please note that any individual who drives or walks in wet seal will be responsible for the expense to repair the damaged area as well as the associated clean up costs.
Please notify any guests as well as contractors and service or delivery people who may be impacted as alternative arrangements need to be made with them to avoid a problem. Please also turn off any running water on the exterior of your unit such as sprinklers or hoses the day before work is scheduled in your area (any sprinklers maintained by the Association will be turned off by the Association’s landscaping company). Running water and wet areas near the street will negatively affect the slurry seal process.
The street surface will stay tender in hot weather and will tear with tight turns. Please make wide, gentle turns to minimize surface scuffing. Please do not turn tires while in a stopped position.
Should you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact our Manager, Melissa Mezzanatto, via email at mmezzanatto@drminternet.com or via phone at 760.346.1161 ext. 125. Thank you in advance for your cooperation and patience.
Sincerely,
Melissa Mezzanatto, CCAM

Board Member Responsibilities
The Board is ultimately responsible for the oversight of the community association ("the buck stops with the Board").
