A friendly neighborhood in the heart of commercial activities in Arlington, Virginia. The area is comprised of shopping centers, office buildings, condominiums and single family homes. Two large supermarkets (Giant and Safeway) are nearby. Shopping, dining and entertainment provided by Ballston Mall, the Villages of Shirlington, and Pentagon City Mall are minutes away. Bus to Metro connections to both Pentagon and Ballston are within walking distance. Columbia Knoll Condo is situated between Arlington Boulevard (Route 50) to the north and 395 to the south, which connects the area to Washington DC, Fairfax County and major employment areas. CK is near Carlin Springs Road - about 4 miles from the Potomac River and a mile from Bailey's Crossroads.

The Board is ultimately responsible for the oversight of the community association ("the buck stops with the Board"). Although the Board may retain and delegate some of its duties to volunteers, contractors and professionals, the Board is still ultimately responsible for the duties it may have assigned to others.
